Retail Banking Relationship Manager Job in Kisumu Kenya 2012
Job Purpose: Develop and maintain positive customer relationships, oversee the marketing of the Bank’s products and services and ensure maximum profitability.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing & implementing sales plan/activities to acquire, expand and retention of profitable relationships
- Identifying and evaluating potential customers’ financial and service needs and recommend product/service offerings in liaison with Product Development Manager.
- Identifying and developing new profitable business relationship.
- Tracking and analyzing sales performance for Nairobi branch managers and implementing correcting or reinforcing action.

- Work with support departments especially credit, treasury, operations and IT to ensure effective product and service delivery to customers.
- A University Degree in Finance or Business Management
- Must have worked in the bank for at least 5 years particularly in relationship management.
- Professional qualifications in Accounting, Marketing and/or Banking such as CKA(K), CIM, ACIB, or AKIB will be an added advantage.
- A Proven record in the delivery of business targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Plan is seeking to recruit a Water, Sanitation & Hygiene Advisor.
The successful candidate will be required to provide strategic leadership, advice and support for innovative Water, Sanitation and Hygiene programs and engages with various key duty bearers to contribute towards promotion of improved service delivery to right holders.
The post holder will also be specifically involved in providing technical advice and support to Plan and other organizations on Community-Led Total Sanitation (CLTS)
Key responsibilities
- Participate and contribute regularly through sharing of best practices and Plan Kenya experiences in the Inter Agency Coordinating Committee (ICC) in general, and in particular, the Sanitation Technical Working Group and Hygiene Technical Working Group, WESCORD (Water and Environmental Sanitation Coordination Working Group and other WASH related networks.
- Participate in the Water Sector Reform Platforms and provide information to PUs on the GOK and bilateral financing opportunities.
- Identify and promote innovative approaches to WASH within Plan and with other key partners.
- Support documentation and sharing of experiences from innovative WASH programs.
- Provide periodic strategic technical advice and support to PUs and ensure quality programming in WASH
- Provide guidance in the design and implementation of WASH baselines, Monitoring and Evaluation activities at Country and PU levels;
- Participate in Plan WASH network platforms at national, regional and global levels;
- Capacity Building for Plan Kenya staff and Partners in WASH areas of need in line with the new CSP
- Provide leadership in the CLTS Unit and be a resource in responding to client needs training, research, M&E and documentation within Kenya and the region.
- Effective follow-up and support of CLTS activities at PU level – with staff and natural leaders
- Preparation of grant concept papers and proposals
- Representation in associated learning and other events
- Support implementation of grant funded projects (i.e. the NLNO grant – Empowering Self- Help of Rural and Peri-Urban Communities and schools; WSI/AusAid ANO – Improving Community WASH in Kilifi, ACP-EU Water Facility – Improving Access to Water and Sanitation in Matungulu and Masinga Districts, etc,.) according to plans and budgets
- Participation in national, regional and international conferences, workshops and other events and networks on WASH
- Participation in agreed research and associated documentation
- Maintain effective networking with the Plan PU Health and WASH focal points, the line Ministry of Water and Irrigation and Ministry of Public Health and Sanitation and key NGOs as well as other stakeholders.
- Masters degree in Environmental Health and Sanitation/Public Health or equivalent;
- A registered engineer with recognized body e.g Institute of Engineering in Kenya;
- Experience in CLTS and participatory approaches to community development;
- 3 to 5 years experience in participatory program design and monitoring & evaluation;
- Experience in rural/community water supply engineering/community water supply and sanitation marketing and technology development is desirable;
- Experience in partnership management and networking.

Youth Volunteer Trainers Vacancies in Gatanga 2012
- Are you a youth living in Gatanga constituency?
- Are you passionate about young people and actively involved in youth activities where you live through the local Youth Village Bunge?
- Do you want to gain skills, tools and experience that can allow you to go into consultancy (self-employment), work with micro-finance and business development institutions or NGO’s involved in youth community savings programs?
EURECAD (based in Gatanga Constituency) with the support of Mercy Corps and through funding by USAID, is currently implementing the Yes Youth Can (YYC) Program in Central Province.
The program is designed to empower Kenya’s youth population through building the capacity of youth groups and organizations to engage with markets, governments and their immediate communities;
and to pursue their legitimate needs and interests more effectively in a way that builds positive inter-ethnic networks.
The program has an economic empowerment component which includes formation of Village Savings and Loans (VSL) groups for young people within Bunges.
We are looking for volunteer young women and men to be empowered as constituency-based VSL trainers to support this.
You will be helping youths in your constituency mobilize their own resources for domestic and business use as you develop your own competence in this field.
If your answer is yes to all the above questions and in addition you;
- Are available – Trainer should be a resident of the Constituency they intend to work in, be available to deliver trainings and support saving groups in their constituency.
- Have the right attitude – Trainers should enjoy working with youths and youth groups and play a supportive role as a model or mentor.
- Have the reach – Trainers should have access to and feel comfortable working in environments and places where Bunges operate within their constituencies.
- Are flexible – Youth are a diverse cohort and trainers should therefore be able to adapt their practice to meet various needs among different youth in the community.
- Are committed – Trainers should demonstrate a commitment to youths, youth empowerment, YYC goals and objectives.
- ‘O’ Level (KCSE) Certificate (Post-Secondary qualifications in business administration, economics and related specializations preferred though not necessary as a trainer as the successful candidates will be trained)
- At least 1 year experience working with or functioning in chamas, investment groups or table-banking groups.
- Membership with a local YYC Village Bunge.
- Proven arithmetic, organizational and planning skills.
