These programs aim to appropriately empower African women and youth to strengthen their socio-economic and political stakes through women and youth-led and managed initiatives and institutions.
Peace Group is seeking to fill the following vacant positions for the following anticipated offices in Kenya:
Chief of Party
Purpose Of The Job
- Provide overall strategic and programmatic leadership and oversight within the consortium of project partners
- Ensure that project activities are meeting client and stakeholder expectations and that project results are pro-actively disseminated.
- Provide oversight of all project operations and reporting, ensuring compliance with DONOR requirements and regulations.
- Work closely with the DONOR and Government counterparts, to ensure the project effectively complies with the DONOR and GOK objectives, rules and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with the policy and legislative requirements of DONOR as stipulated under the Agreement.
- Supervise and provide technical guidance to project technical staff, ensure synchrony and collaboration between technical staff from the various partner organizations and work with them to bring ideas, findings, and lessons learned to project leadership and the donor agency.
- Responsible for timely preparation of annual work plans and reports to the donor.
- Supervise, mentor, manage and motivate staff for optimal performance of the project.
- Responsible for co-ordination and collaboration with partner and key stakeholders.
- Document and disseminate programme achievements and lessons
- Manage project resources including staff, finances and assets.
- The ideal candidate should have a minimum of Masters Degree in a relevant field. A Doctoral Degree is desirable.
- Experience in Human Resources Management in developing countries would be an added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of the HIV/AIDS sector and capacity building, especially in Kenya.
- Exceptional managerial and operational experience, and preferably in managing large complex activities involving coordination with multiple program partner institutions in developing countries/sub Saharan Africa.
- A minimum of five years of experience working with DONOR supported projects and knowledge of the emergency plan goals and DONOR financial rules and regulations at a senior level.
- Experience in developing program work-plans, developing program budgets, managing program implementation, managing staff, and field and managing short-term technical assistance.
- Excellent representational and communication skills, written and oral proficiency in English, and verbal communication skills in one or more local languages.
- A team player with visionary leadership.
Stationed in Nairobi with frequent travel to project sites
Qualifications And Competencies

Requirements for this position:
- Minimum 3 years experience working with NGOs on peace-building and economic development Projects, at least 2 of which in a senior managerial role;
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in peace-building, economic development or related field;
- Extensive experience conducting trainings in conflict mitigation, income generation and monitoring and evaluating program outputs and outcomes;
- Proven experience in managing staff and ensuring that program objectives are met in an efficient and effective manner;
- Strong commitment to working with youth and vulnerable groups regardless of race, tribe, religion or gender;
- Extensive experience working with and building the capacity of local partners in areas of leadership, conflict mitigation and income generation;
- Willing and able to travel extensively throughout the Rift Valley province;
- Excellent English communication and report writing skills;
- Excellent computer skills, including full knowledge of MS Office applications.
Requirements:
- University Degree in Social Studies, community development or related field;

Reporting to the Chief of Party, the Finance/Admin Officer will be responsible for accurate and timely completion of all financial aspects, general administration and HR functions for the Regional office. S/he will ensure compliance with Peace Group’s financial and administrative guidelines, as well as that of the Kenyan Government and Peace Group donors.
Requirements:
- University degree, CPA qualification or equivalent;
- experience in finance/admin;
- at least 2 years work experience with an international NGO in a similar capacity is desirable;
- familiarity with various donor financial reporting regulations;
- attention to detail and capacity to work under pressure;
- excellent computer skills and full proficiency in Excel.

ASESSMENT General Scope of the Assignment: Save the Children in Somalia/Somaliland (SCiSOM) is seeking a subject matter expert, consultant or agency to produce a concise, well crafted, intelligent, critically constructive examination of SCiSOM security procedures at the field, operational and strategic level.
It should clearly outline practices to be sustained, improved and replaced as part of a considered action plan which will allow SCiSOM to create a security bench-mark and provide guidance for future security development. Whilst bearing in mind the report is for an organisation with deeply held humanitarian principles and values; it should draw upon current best practice from NGO, corporate and security force operations as well as high-risk environments such as Afghanistan, Yemen and Iraq.
The assessment must follow a holistic, humanist approach in which IT, HR, logistics, novel technology/innovation and vitally; our staff should be considered alongside more traditional security practices.

II. DURATION:
Duration: 12 months
III. STRUCTURE OF AUTHORITY:
The incumbent will report to the Inclusive Development Officer.
IV. MANDATED AIMS:
This internship has the objective to build the skills, capacities and knowledge of a young professional that will encourage and enable him/her to pursue a career in the development sector and to take a more prominent advocacy role in the disability movement.
V. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Areas of work will include programmatic and operational tasks as well as activities related to Alliance building and networking. The intern will also support the development of advocacy strategies and initiatives and take over an advocacy role in the field of disability and development. Reporting to the Alliance Building Officer -AFC, a precise list of tasks will be developed together with the successful candidate and according to his/ her interests and abilities.
VI. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONALEXPERIENCE:
