Great Lakes University of Kisumu is a fully chartered University with its main campus located beyond Mamboleo on the Kisumu – Miwani Road. It has four other campuses namely; Town campus – Kisumu City, Kokise, Nairobi, Kisii and Garissa.
The main aim of GLUK is to develop effective managers of development initiatives in the Great Lakes Region of Africa.
GLUK also equips its students with additional skills aligned and designed for Kenya’s vision 2030.

Course Duration
  • Diploma courses take 4 semesters
  • All Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) full time courses take 9 semesters (upgrading is 6 semesters)
  • All Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) part time courses take 12 semesters (upgrading is 9 semesters)
  • All Masters of Science (M. Sc) full time courses take 5 semesters
  • All Masters of Science (M. Sc) part time courses take 8 semesters

  • Part time (Weekend lectures)

  • Cluster Delivery (available to any group of 20 students in one locality)
Tuition fee
  • Diploma courses available from sh.36,000 per semester
  • Bachelor degree courses available from sh. 60,000 per semester, full time
  • Masters degree courses available from sh. 60,000 per semester, part time
Admission Requirements
 
Diploma
  • KCSE with a minimum mean grade of C (plain) OR equivalent
Undergraduate Programmes
  • KCSE Mean Grade C +(plus) and above OR equivalent (Direct Entry)
  • KCSE Mean Grade C(plain) OR Division III
  • Diploma from a recognised University
GLUK is a fully chartered University and ALL students of GLUK qualify for the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) assistance.
