Our client is a steel manufacturing firm and is seeking to recruit for the following positions.

Regional Sales Manager

Job Purpose: Sells products by maintaining and expanding customer base; managing staff.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Achieve regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.
  • Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
  • Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and quota for districts in support of national objectives.
  • Maintains and expands customer base by counseling district sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities.
  • Implements trade promotions by publishing, tracking, and evaluating trade spending.
  • Accomplishes sales and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Academic Qualification
  • Qualification minimum of an undergraduate degree in business or relevant field.
  • Minimum experience of 5 years in relevant field.
  • Must be Mature, Confident and Aggressive
  • Must be computer literate
  • Commercially aware
  • Should have a professional appearance in order to give a positive image to the organization
  • Gujrati speaking preferable
Sales Representative 
4 Positions
Western region, Eastern region, Nyanza region, Central region

Duties and responsibilities

  • Quote customers and sale.
  • Looking for cash customers.
  • Servicing needs for existing customers.
  • Gather market and customers, information and provide feedback.
  • Identify new business markets and opportunities.
  • Visit potential customers for new business.
  • Create awareness of products.
Key competences
  • Passport size picture and complete curriculum vitae with references.
  • Minimum qualification an undergraduate degree in business or relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant field.
  • Must have Confident and Aggressive
  • Must be Computer Literate
Credit Control

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Chasing outstanding invoices.
  • Credit given to customers is monitored and controlled.
  • Makes price against payment terms
  • Feasibility analysis.
  • Reducing average payment terms in days. -
  • Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements. -
  • Liaising with accounts to resolve outstanding queries. E.g.: Credit note issues.
  • Ensuring all major accounts work agreed order to cash cycle
  • Working to strict monthly and annual collections target –
  • Must have finance experience
  • Must be Aggressive in his/her work
  • Must be computer literate and good communication skills
  • Should have market awareness and obtains sufficient information to assess the credit worthiness of existing clients.
  • Stop supply of goods to overdue clients.
Key competences
  • Passport size picture and complete curriculum vitae with references.
  • Minimum qualification undergraduate degree in business or finance or relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant field.
  • Must be Mature, Confident, Very Aggressive

Export Manager (Forwarders)

Job Duties and responsibilities

  • Export manager will be responsible for all necessary documentation for the exporting of goods. He/she must understand all government regulations, foreign and domestic, for the shipping, packaging and transporting of goods through all countries to their destination.
  • He/she shall coordinate export payments between clients, officials and government agencies where necessary.
  • Determine the appropriate routing of goods, based on transit times, security needs and the type of goods shipped.
  • Responsible for arranging consolidation of shipments with a common destination in order to offer clients options on the prices of transportation.
  • Advise clients on port charges, freight costs, special documentation costs, consular fees and the cost of insurance
  • Track loads and assist clients with information on transfers, time lines, regulations and any other problems affecting their shipments. They will reroute shipments for clients when necessary and offer storage facilities until a shipment can continue to its destination.
Educational Requirements
  • Ideally bachelor’s degree in electrical/ mechanical engineering
  • Diploma in marketing or business management & administration
  • Strong problem solving skills based on an ability to analyze a situation based on hard facts and figures, blended with a touch of creative thinking
  • At least 10 years’ experience in steel export.
  • Experience in a shipping or clearing and forwarding environment.
  • Good people management skills
  • Computer literacy including office applications, such as MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Key Competencies
  • Knowledge about export administration regulations as well as the international traffic in arms regulations.
  • The export manager should be able to stay abreast with the changes in export laws and regulations that impact on the operations of the organization.
  • Conversant with technological and regulatory details that relate to the job
