Our client is seeking to recruit for the following positions for the firm.

1. Regional Sales Manager

1 Position

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Maintain and increase regional sales.
  • Visit potential customers for new business.
  • Create awareness of products.
  • Targeting potential new customers
  • Looking for cash customers.
  • Servicing needs for existing customers.
  • Allocation of junior sales representatives.
  • Meeting targets of sales in the area.
  • Developing sales strategies and marketing.
  • Motivating and monitoring performance.
  • Analyzing sales figures.
  • Market research.
  • Keeping up to date with what competitors are doing and their pricing.
  • Providing feedback for Directors.
Essential Technical Competencies and requirements:
  • Passport size picture and complete curriculum vitae with references.
  • Qualification minimum of an undergraduate degree in business or relevant field.
  • Minimum experience of 5 years in relevant field.
  • Must be Mature, Confident and Aggressive
  • Must be computer literate
  • Commercially aware
  • Should have a professional appearance in order to give a positive image to the organization
  • Gujarati speaking preferable
2. Sales Representative

1 Position

Western region, Eastern region, Nyanza region, Central region

Duties and responsibilities;      

  • Quote customers and sale.
  • Looking for cash customers.
  • Servicing needs for existing customers.
  • Gather market and customers, information and provide feedback.
  • Identify new business markets and opportunities.
  • Visit potential customers for new business.
  • Create awareness of products.
Key competences
  • Passport size picture and complete curriculum vitae with references.
  • Minimum qualification an undergraduate degree in business or relevant field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in relevant field.
  • Must have Confident and Aggressive
  • Must be Computer Literate
3. Credit Controller
1 Position

Duties and responsibilities: -

  • Chasing outstanding invoices.
  • Credit given to customers is monitored and controlled.
  • Makes price against payment terms
  • Feasibility analysis.
  • Reducing average payment terms in days. -
  • Processing and generating reminder letters and monthly statements. -
  • Liaising with accounts to resolve outstanding queries. E.g.: Credit note issues.
  • Ensuring all major accounts work agreed order to cash cycle
  • Working to strict monthly and annual collections target –
  • Must have finance experience
  • Must be Aggressive in his/her work
  • Must be computer literate and good communication skills
  • Should have market awareness and obtains sufficient information to assess the credit worthiness of existing clients.
  • Stop supply of goods to overdue clients.
Key competences;
  • Passport size picture and complete curriculum vitae with references.
  • Minimum qualification undergraduate degree in business or finance or relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in relevant field.
  • Must be Mature, Confident, Very Aggressive
  • Must be computer literate
  • Gujrati speaking preferable
4.  Export Manager

Duties and responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement export related marketing, sales and distribution strategies and plans to ensure achievement of targets.
  • With the commercial manager, actively explore and establish new markets for the company’s products through visits, exhibitions and other means.
  • Carry out market research and intelligence and provide market information that will assist in designing marketing strategies and development of new products for existing and potential markets.
  • Establish, build and maintain relationships and contacts with transporters, shipping agents, clearing and forwarding agents and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth export sales operations.
  • Prepare export reports and statistics for management decision making.
  • Handle all documents related to export sales and ensure they are duly signed, authorized and are in order to avoid litigation and/or penalties arising from defective documents or procedures.
  • Liaise with export promotion authorities and participate in regional shows and exhibitions to market the company and its products.
  • Co-ordinate the development of trading terms and conditions with distributors and other business partners and ensure they are fair to export customers.
Qualifications
  • Ideally bachelor’s degree in electrical/ mechanical engineering
  • Diploma in marketing or business management & administration
  • Strong problem solving skills based on an ability to analyze a situation based on hard facts and figures, blended with a touch of creative thinking
  • At least 10 years’ experience in steel export.
  • Experience in a shipping or clearing and forwarding environment.
  • Good people management skills
  • Computer literacy including office applications, such as MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
