www.knec.ac.ke KCPE Results 2012/2013 to be released Tomorrow Monday, January 28 2013
Education Minister Mutula Kilonzo is expected to officiate the release at the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC)’s headquarters Mitihani House, Nairobi.
Guardians and pupils have been urged to check the results from their respective examination centers and online via the KNEC website: www.knec.ac.ke after the release of the results.
Candidates will also be able to obtain their results via a short message services by sending their index number to 5052 immediately after the release.
Principals, candidates and parents have been urged to scrutinize the correctness and ensure accuracy in the candidates’ details and subjects’ grades.
Upon noting any discrepancy the candidates should communicate the query to KNEC within one month of the release of examination results.
KNEC has said that communication to candidates who will have their results withheld will be done by sending a letter through their head teachers explaining why the results have been withheld.
The affected candidates will be required to submit the necessary documents through their respective schools by 28th February 2013.
Candidates who were involved in any form of exam irregularity will have their results cancelled and communication on the same will be done through their respective heads
KNEC has stated that the cancelled results will not be re-marked.
The results of 811,930 candidates who sat for the 2012 KCPE will be released exactly one month late compared to other years when they are released just after christmas holidays.
The changes were as a result of academic timetables that were changed owing to the teachers’ strike late last year.
