Job Title: Senior Administrative Assistant (Grant Writing Function) – Grade E/F Applicants must be holders of Masters Degree in Language and Linguistics OR Library and Information Science and have worked for at least three (3) years in a large busy Grant Writing office. The applicant should have the following qualities: Technical writing skills Editing and formatting on electronic platforms Communications skills Familiarity with information management systems Preferable postgraduate level training in communication, journalism and mass communication The Senior Administrator will be required to carry out the following duties: Support writing, reviewing and submission of grant proposals Maintaining an efficient archiving system for donor agencies, calls for proposals, proposals submitted; and approved grants Review periodic and final project technical reports to ensure quality control Ensure grantees comply with agreed reporting schedules and other requirements Support publicity aspects for grant projects including profiling of projects on university website and other outlets Respond to any queries from donors regarding technical reports
