KCSE Results 2012 Announcement Wednesday 29 2012

KCSE 2012 results will be out this Wednesday. Over 300,000 candidates who sat the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education  (KCSE) 2012 exam will know their results on Wednesday.

Education minister Sam Ongeri will release the KCSE results at Mitihani House in Nairobi, where provincial directors of Education will be present to collect the results for their respective regions.

But the Kenya National Examinations Council (Knec) secretary Paul Wasanga said candidates can still access their results by logging onto the council’s website KNEC Website and keying their index numbers.

They can also be received by sending a short text message (SMS) including the candidates’ index number to 5052 on the mobile phone, immediately after Prof Ongeri announces the results.

He noted that it was important for subscribers to only send one SMS to avoid jamming the system and causing inconvenience to the other users.

“Candidates who were involved in any form of examination irregularity have had their results cancelled and they have been advised so in writing through their respective school principals before release of the results,” Mr Wasanga noted.

He added that the Council will not re-mark any cancelled results.

He went on: “Candidates who have their results withheld will receive a letter through their head teachers explaining why the results have been withheld until they submit the required documents, previous KCPE examination details for their results to be released.
